current work- aprilCommissioned work has allowed me to get into some mixed media, which I love.
I also have finally worked up the courage to use my grandfather's paints which are about 35-40 years old. Rufus Morris was a professional artist, using both oils and watercolours. I was lucky enough to grow up with his beautiful artworks lining the walls of our family home. The watercolours are amazing. Of course they were the best quality paints you could get at the time and they are still beautiful to use and the colours are still so vibrant. |

Current work- marchAlong with some commissions, I have begun a series of pottery workshops, focusing on wheelwork, mainly because my art course did not include claywork. As a future art teacher I felt it was pretty important to get my hands back into some clay.
I never thought I would enjoy wheelwork so much. It is such hard work and demands such a high level of concentration that the time seems to fly by. Classes are held at the Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre with the lovely Monika Juengling. |
